Dr. Simpkins is proud to be a veterinarian, dedicated to helping and curing animals so they can live long and healthy lives. She was born in Montreal, Canada and raised in Denver, Colorado. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College before attending Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with honors and awards.
In practice for over 20 years, Dr. Simpkins has spent most of that time in Northern Virginia, where she is thankful to have developed many long lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
She is consistently listed as one of Northern Virginia Magazine’s Best Veterinarians. In her time away from work, she enjoys being with her family, hiking, traveling, speaking French and taking on home improvement projects.
