A message of gratitude, holiday safety, and how we give back

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, all of us at Town and Country Animal Hospital want to thank our wonderful clients and our dedicated team. Your trust means everything to us, and caring for your pets is truly a privilege. We appreciate the kindness, patience, and partnership you show our doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service team every day.
Holiday Hours and Emergency Care
Town and Country Animal Hospital will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
If your pet needs urgent or emergency care, our sister hospital Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center in Annandale is open 24/7/365 with no ER fee.
Most Northern Virginia emergency hospitals charge an additional emergency fee on top of the exam fee, often totaling 150 to 300 dollars more just to be seen. Columbia Pike charges only the standard exam fee, and because our hospitals share medical records, your pet’s history is already available.

How Our Hospitals Give Back
Giving back is a core part of our culture across all three sister hospitals: Town and Country, Columbia Pike, and Animal Clinic of Clifton.
Dr. Delia Large Hart, from Columbia Pike, shares how volunteering shaped her life and why serving others brings her so much joy. Dr. Reed Hall ensures that every veterinarian has the opportunity to volunteer by offering dedicated volunteer days with full support, including travel and supplies for humanitarian trips.
Ways We Give Back
-
Supporting veterinarians on medical volunteer trips abroad
-
Providing low cost spay and neuter days for rescue partners
-
Working with Wolf Trap Animal Rescue for high volume surgical training and shelter medicine
-
Assisting local shelters with medical care and resources
-
Participating in community outreach that strengthens the human animal bond
Service fuels our passion and reminds us why we are here: to care for pets and the people who love them.
