Love People. Love Pets. Meet the Team that makes it real.

Dr. Heather Kirchart has been a part of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for 23 years, caring for pets and families with compassion and dedication.

Her journey into veterinary medicine began at an early age. Growing up with parents who raised St. Bernards, Dr. Kirchart spent countless hours at the vet for checkups, vaccines, and follow-up care. She was fascinated by every visit and soon began helping out at a local veterinary office, starting with kennel cleaning and dog walking before moving on to assist with surgeries. She never lost sight of her dream to become a veterinarian.

After graduating from Penn State University in 1998, Dr. Kirchart earned her VMD at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Shortly after, she joined Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and found the perfect place to grow her career. She loves that every day is different, that she continues to learn something new each week, and most of all, that she gets to help pets feel better while bringing comfort and happiness to their families.

Dr. Kirchart also values working at a hospital that keeps pace with advancements in veterinary medicine, ensuring that the best care possible is always available to clients and their pets. For Town & Country clients, having Columbia Pike as our sister hospital means that Dr. Kirchart and the rest of the CPA team are always close by for advanced or emergency care. With shared records and a strong partnership between our hospitals, your pet benefits from seamless, comprehensive support.

Outside of work, Dr. Kirchart is a proud wife and mother of three. Much of her time is spent with her children and their activities, but she and her family still find opportunities to travel together. She especially loves visiting the beach and swimming in the ocean.

We are grateful to have Dr. Kirchart as part of our extended Town & Country family through our close connection with Columbia Pike. Her compassion, dedication, and 23 years of experience make her an invaluable part of the team that lives out our promise every day: Love People. Love Pets.
